Do you have an exotic pet you can no longer care for? St. Croix County is facilitating an exotic pet surrender event with J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue. They will accept fish, invertebrates, reptiles, pet birds, small mammals and plants—no questions asked. Domestic pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs and chickens are not accepted.

Exotic Pet Surrender Event at the Baldwin Agriculture & Education Center

1960 8th Avenue in Baldwin, Wis. on April 26, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The event is meant to serve as a safe space for members of the community to surrender their exotic pets with no questions asked and no judgment. Our goal is to prevent these pets from being released into the wild or dumped in a lake, potentially wreaking havoc on the native ecosystem.
