TOWN OF STAR PRAIRIE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A POST FRAME STORAGE BUILDING

The Town of Star Prairie is accepting sealed proposals for the construction of a new post frame solar-front storage building. The work consists of a 2520 square foot wood-framed, pole-type building with metal roof and walls. The building site is to be excavated on the property located on the north side of County Road C, just east of the Town Hall. Construction is anticipated to start Fall of 2024.

Building plans with specifications are available from the Town Clerk/Treasurer as of Thursday, September 26, 2024.  Call 715-246-9878 to receive the bid packet. Sealed, detailed proposals are due by 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024 and should be directed to the Town Clerk/Treasurer:

The sealed proposals will be opened and considered at a Special Meeting of the Town Board on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at the Star Prairie Town Hall: 2118 Cook Drive in Somerset, Wis. The Town Board will consider awarding the construction bid that evening. 

A Certificate of Insurance–including proof of Workman’s Compensation Insurance as well as Builders Risk Insurance–shall accompany each proposal.  The builder’s standard written warranty is to accompany each proposal.  No bidder may withdraw their proposal for a period of 30 days after the proposal due date.

Any variations from the listed specifications and plan specifications must be indicated in writing on the proposal as “Variation From Plan” along with product data sheets or engineered drawings illustrating substitutions.

The Town of Star Prairie reserves the right to reject any and all proposals to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and to award the contract in the best interests of the Town.
